  • Judy Park

    Ms. Park has taught students in classrooms from elementary to middle school both in private and public school systems before she took a position as an administrator. She has served as an educator for 28 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in teaching from Seattle University. Mrs. Park has also completed her degree from the American College of Education receiving a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Supporting students, teachers and families for the sake of students’ well-being and learning is her ultimate goal so they can reach up to their fullest potential. She believes that every student is unique and valuable and therefore personalized education provides individual student’s needs. Ms. Park joined Ӱ̳ in 2007 because of the school’s mission and vision. Her passion grows stronger each year as she works closely with talented faculty members to provide a caring Christian environment for each student who walks into Ӱ̳. Helping our young learners cultivate their identity, passion, values and academic achievement to face the world with confidence is something that she envisions when our Green Hawks graduate from Ӱ̳. Outside of school, Ms. Park enjoys taking road trips with her husband and her lovely daughter, Claire.

    Ms. Karin Martin is from Honolulu, Hawaii. She has a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and a Master’s in Education from Chaminade University in Hawaii. She has been an international educator for over 15 years (Beijing, Malaysia, Shanghai). She has lived abroad for over 30 years and has lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Malaysia and Shanghai. Her husband is an editor and she has two grown daughters who are third-culture kids. One of the most meaningful aspects of her career has been teaching and supporting students with a wide range of learning abilities and backgrounds. She strives to help all students excel and become global citizens. During her free time, Karin loves to hike, read, cook, and eat all kinds of food!

  • Emily Matheny
    Elementary School
    B.A. University of North Texas
    Ms. Matheny was born and raised in Texas, United States. She went to the University of North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science; in Education EC-6 with ESL.
    She taught for the last four years at Cannon Elementary in Grapevine, Texas. She has experience in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. She also has experience working as an assistant children & youth minister in her home church.
    She has also earned her 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. She loves to travel, experience new things, and teach her students.

    Mrs. Park is a Korean by birth, an American by nationality, and a Third Culture Kid due to frequent relocations. She has taught IB DP, AP and Introduction to Psychology for fifteen years to high school students in Korea and in America. Prior to becoming a teacher, she also directed various church ministries in New Jersey and California for fifteen years. In teaching psychology courses and directing church ministries, Mrs. Park had opportunities to counsel many children, youth and their families which she found invaluable. She loves to spend time with her family, watch K-dramas and complete puzzles when she is not working.
